There are a lot of games that are there, but could not be played on a PC. The basic reason behind it is that they are not released for the PC. One such game is Zelda Breath. The manufacturers have not yet released their PC version. However, if you are someone who wants to play it on PC, then you can do that. There are certain ways in which this impossible deed could be made possible and we are going to discuss it in the sections below.

Is it possible to LEGEND OF ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD on PC?

Well, it is possible to play LEGEND OF ZELDA BREATH on PC, but for that, you will need a PC that is prepared for it and has all the requirements fulfilled related to it. The manufacturers of the game have not yet released the PC version of it, but if you want to play it, you will have to install an emulator that can support it on your PC. It will create a virtual environment for the game and you will feel that you are playing the PC version of the game. One such emulator is the Cemu emulator. Here are some quick facts about it.

Cemu Emulator

It is a type of emulator that supports Nintendo gaming console and Wii U. You can play all the games of these consoles with this emulator. The emulator can help you in playing the game only if your PC is 64-bit. If you can install Cemu on your PC, it is capable of playing the games in quality no less than 4k. To make your PC appropriate for this emulator, you need to have a storage of  4 GB RAM and the compatibility should be of Open GL 4.1. Apart from this, there are a lot of other requirements that you need to fulfill if you want to install the Cemu Emulator on your PC. You will get to know about each one of them in the section below.

Ways to play BOTW on PC

Well, by now we know that the Cemu emulator is very important if you want to play games like Zelda on your PC. You need to have it on your PC. Well, before that, you need to check a few equally important things or we can say that are important initially as we move towards the installation of Cemu. You will have to check motherboard drivers, GPU Drivers, and Audio drivers of your PC. Check whether they are updated or not. If not, then you need to update them first. After that, you will have to have three other important things and these are 7Zip, DirectX and C++ Redistributable. After you have downloaded all of these, you need to download things like Graphics Packs, Cemu Hook, Cemu and Shader Cache.

Before trying to get all these things in your PC, there are some of the requirements that your system needs to fulfill. If these are not fulfilled, then you won’t be able to achieve your goal. Here is the list of these requirements.

  1. The first and foremost thing is the operating system. It could be of  64-Bit Windows 7 Service Pack 1, or Windows 8 or Windows 10. If you have any of these operating systems in your PC, then you are one step closer to install the Cemu emulator.
  2. The second requirement would be of Graphics. The two options for it are  NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 or AMD Radeon™. You can use any one of them, as both are equivalent.
  3. Another important thing is DirectX. It has to be the  Version 11 for downloading Cemu emulator.
  4. If we talk about the processor that needs to be there on your PC, for this, then it should be none other than Intel® Core™ i3 or AMD Phenom.
  5. The next important thing is memory. Well, for the purpose that we are discussing here the ideal match would be  4 GB RAM.
  6. Last, but not the least requirement for downloading this configuration is the storage. It should be 8 GB.

How to install Cemu emulator?

By now, you know how to make your system ready for installing the Cemu emulator. Now, we will be discussing the actual process of doing that.

  1. The first thing that you need to do, is to go to the official website of the Cemu emulator. Find the latest version of the software and then download it.
  2. You need to unzip the downloaded file and for that use 72zip file. If you remember, we have already mentioned it in the requirements above.
  3. The next step would be of downloading the Cemu Hook software. Again, we have mentioned it earlier. Remember, you should download the version which is compatible with the version of cemu that you are going to download.
  4. Now, you need to move the cemuhook_1112_0554.zip in the file you have extracted just now. Also, extract the cemuhook-xxxx.zip file in the Cemu folder too. After this, the zipped file could be removed, but only if you want.
  5. Now, check the Cemu current release folder. Here, one can find a graphics pack folder. You need to paste the Graphics Zip file here.
  6. After that, you need to extract this graphics zip. For that, use the 7Zip file. There is a possibility that you get the option of overwriting any file. If it is like that, then click yes.
  7. The last thing that you need to do is to extract the Shader Cache zip folder which is already downloaded on your PC. After doing that, you need to move the xxxx.bin file. Extract it from the extracted folder and for doing that go to the Cemu folder. There, you need to open a shader cache. You will get a  transferable folder here. Just move the xxxx.bin file here and in this way the Venue emulator is installed on your PC.

Configuring Cemu Emulator

Installation Cemu Emulator is one thing and configuring it in your PC is another. After you have installed it, here are the steps to get its configuration done.

  1. First of all, you will have to launch Cemu.exe. After that, you need to download certain fonts and they are mandatory to download. There are chances that you face problems in doing so. If yes, then you can try and exclude Cemu from your PC’s antivirus. After doing that, you will see that there is no problem in downloading the fonts.
  2. After opening Cemu, you will get a lot of menus. At the top, you will see the ‘Options’ menu. You need to click on that.
  3. The next thing that you need to do is to select input settings. There you can set your controllers and keyboard keys as per your preferences.
  4. Now if that is done, you need to set a profile name and then need to save it. After all this, just close the window.
  5. Now you again need to go to the ‘options’ menu. This time, you need to choose graphics packs. This is to select graphics options for the Legend of Zelda PC game. You can choose the resolution according to your choice.
  6. After all, this is done, you need to select the options like FPS++, LWZX Crash Workaround, Nvidia Explosion Fix, RefExtra-Enhanced, Square shadow fix.

This is not the only option that you need to set to get the configuration. Here is a list of all of them that you need to set.

  1. In the option, the menu goes to an Upscale Filter and then checks Bilinear. For the fullscreen scaling, keep the aspect ratio. The GPU buffer cache accuracy should be looking and in experimental option, enable BotW crash workaround option should be unchecked.

The other two steps would be again in the Experimental menu only. There is a Use RDTSC option, which you need to uncheck. This is a completely optional step. The next step in Experimental would be to check the full sync at GX2DrawDone.

  1. Another change you need to do is in Debug Menu. You need to set the Cemu timer at Cemu Default 1x and the MM Timer Accuracy as 1ms.
  2. Next, you need to go to the In CPU Menu select all logical cores option, in the affinity option.

With this, you have set all the options that are required, and the Cemu emulator is read to be configured.

Steps to download the ZELDA BREATH OF WILD for PC

After all these efforts, it is the time that you download the Zelda Breath on your PC. Now, there a few more things to do before you head towards the actual steps. You need to create three folders and those are Helper, Helper DX, Helper EX. After that, you need to download WiiU_Usb_Helper. As soon as these steps are complete, your PC is all prepared for downloading the Zelda Breath. Here are all the steps.

  1. The first thing that you need to do is to open WiiU_USB_Helper. There, you need to find an option to set default directories. Certain directories are needed to set as default. These are Wii U Helper Download Directory to Helper DL Folder and Wii U Helper Extraction Directory to Helper EX Folder. Now, search for Legend of Zelda breath of wild there.
  2. Once you have found the game, you need to click on it.  It will be there as per your region. You need to choose to download it and for that, you will have to click right. There will appear an option on your screen asking you for DLC and updates. When this happens, you need to click no.
  3. After that, right-click on the game again. You need to select a download update option from all the options that are there.  Choose the v1.76 version for updating.
  4. Right, click on the game again and this time chooses to download DLC from all the options that come on the screen.
  5. The last, but not the least option is to click on the options start downloading. It is important to begin the process.  Once that is done, you need to click right on the game. After that click on the Unpack option.

Installation of Zelda Breath on your PC

Again, downloading is not the only thing that is required. You need to install it too and here are all the steps for that.

  1. You need to open the Cemu emulator first of all. After that click on the option select files. You can now click on install game updates or DLC.
  2. The next step would be to find a file that was created earlier. Once you have done that,  click on the update file and select meta.xml in the meta folder.
  3. Repeat the same for DLC files. After that, select its .xml files.
  4. Once that is done, click on the File menu. You will find a load option, go to that. You need to click on the Helper EX folder and there you will find the Legend of Zelda folder. Find the code folder there and select the XXXX.rpx file.
  5. Close Cemu, once load completes.
  6. Open log.txt file in the Cemu folder and go to the ‘Shader cache name’. Once it is found, copy it.
  7. After that, first, go to the shader cache folder and then to the transferable folder. Find xxxx.bin file there. You need to rename it with your shader cache name.

With this, you are all ready to launch your game on Cemu Emulator. The shader cache may take some time to compile in the beginning, but later on, everything will be on point.
